Indianapolis ska rolled through KC supporting the slackers through the midwest (alongside The Bishops as well). High energy and fun - they made the crowd have a damn good time boogyin' around the dance floor.

I love this band. You love this band (you just dont know it yet if you aint privy to 'em). The Slackers are like Thin Lizzy - everyone digs it wether they know it or not. One of those universally loved bands that I believe have yet to faulted. Every release has bangers on it - been going since 1991 in New York - theyve been consistently releasing quality jams since their inception. I Cannot reccomend this band enough to my followers. The Greatest American Ska Band ever - The Slackers.
Will be putting up a song or two in the future - here is a teaser for the whole set.

GUDON (Hiroshima, Japan) came through KC the other day and preached no war and love and did it with their brand of Japanese Hardcore which i have loved for a long time - This band has put out some amazing material with a large variety of punk styles thrown together and tastefully too. I really dig how they can be a fast core band but then have some melody and bop to 'em also.
Really cool - I got their 2xlp discography and it totally rips - i shoulda gotten then 7" too cuz a lot of the songs played were on that.
Oh and this song "覚醒 kakusei (Astral Trip)" is my choice because of the name of it - makes sense. Full set is up... but this color is a third x going through my editor and I dont think I can get this color to work normally - looks like I have a few new tricks up my selves.

From the archive : no class @ the studded bird 2010/2011 - three shows are featured here - their first lp release - the Johnny goulding memorial show, and the duress show.
This band was wild. One of the best hardcore bands outta kc - debatable if theyre number 1. So silly - so angry - so raw and fast. The street brothers on Guitar and Bass (a crucial unit) Dillon on drums and Neil was a wildman- expressing his frustrations on life in such a extreme way.
This band could kick a wild horses ass.

Got the full set uploaded - was able to edit "the ghoul" jam down to three minutes (one of my favorite pentagram songs)
Toned this off of black and white video and I think it looks pretty sick.
Had so much fun filming these legends.
Metal would be different if these dudes never stated rockin' in the early 70s (formed in '71).

Couldn't choose a clip again yet - decided to just split it all up into 20 ninety second clips (had to cut a few minutes out - but its mostly complete)
Audio kicks ass - video is rad - band rips. Super pumped on this set and for my brother and good friends kicking so much ass. Totally deserved the opportunity to open for Pentagram - proved it thoroughly.
Do not sleep on the best Doom outta KC (sorry other friends I love your bands too).
Only trajectory is up. These dudes are on a path to glory.

Watched this set at least 5 times trying to figure out what to highlight - and these 3 minutes are so rad. Really loved their set and wanted to show how sick they sounded. They absolutely put on an epic preformance worthy of being legends.
Hope yall dig the grit of the preformance and the color tone I chose for it.

Ingrown Debut a new jam in KC - and i got stood upon on a tall chair to obtain a sick (but dangerous) vantage point of the climax of their rowdy set. Ingrown never dissapoints and ive only missed one of their 6 or 7 times strolling across the USA and stoppin' through the middle of the map. BAND RIPS GREAT DUDES SICK RIFFS - HARDEST 3 PIECE EVER? MAYBE! - easily a top 5 for sure

FROM THE ARCHIVE : Crap Corps @ Valhalla & El Torreon 2006 - this band was so much fun. Fronted by Anna St Louis (who has a rad solo career rn as a singer songwriter) this band was full of high school girls playing fast core - one of the highlights of the early 2000s kc punk scene - they were so damn good. Also - fun fact - if you play their 7" at 33 rpm it sounds like 86 mentality.
Wish I could add their music - they had a 7" and I think they were on the kc-diy comp.
I chose this song cuz Crap Corps had a sick song called Survival Knife - and i guess there's a band called that - so it works
