LOOKING SHARP? 😎 BETTER CHECK FOR ANY BLIND SPOTS.
There are more types of exams than you may be aware of. And each of them has different rules. Therefore, it’s a good idea to check what type of exam you’re attending. Every time.
What are you allowed to bring to the exam hall? What’s the difference between the oral exam, you’ve already taken and the one you’re preparing for now?
We have gathered all the rules and exam aids at my.cbs.dk. That way you can check. And check again.
Best of luck at your exams! 🤞

ARE PRIVATE EXAM COURSES BAD BUSINESS FOR YOU? 💸
We know that you might feel stressed about the upcoming exams. So does a number of companies who hope to benefit from you worrying. They offer you courses with promises of higher grades and a better understanding. All you have to do is pay them.
What they’re really selling is exam techniques and mechanical short cuts and not the academic learning, you need in your actual exams. And don’t be fooled if they use our logo, CBS does not cooperate with any such businesses.
Read on my.cbs.dk why you’re better off not taking a short cut 🧠
Campus mode: OUTDOORS ☀️🌱
One of the best things about spring is seeing all of you students hanging out outside of campus in the sun together. And this year instead of sitting on the ground, you can sit on brand new furniture on our terrasses.
New chairs, benches, and tables are placed on the terrasse on the sunny side of Solbjerg Plads as well as on the roof of Peter Bangsvej 🪑
So, bring a friend from class and go enjoy!
And not to worry, the furniture has been CBS marked, so it will stay put all summer 😎
SIRENS WILL BE TESTED WEDNESDAY 6 MAY 🚨
When the sirens sound all over Demark next Wednesday at noon, there is no cause for alarm.
It is the yearly test of the national warning sirens. The test is to make sure the sirens work and to remind all of us what the signal means and how we should react if it’s ever not a drill.
At the same time as the outdoor sirens, the alarm system for mobile phones is also tested. This means you’ll receive an alarm and a text on your phone ☎️
You can read more about the tests and the sirens in general on my.cbs.dk or on sirenen.dk
WE HAVE TEACHERS WITH ALL SORTS OF ACCENTS. THAT’S WHAT MAKES US (AND YOU!) GREAT 🏅
CBS attracts lecturers from all over the world and that’s a great privilege! It means that we can offer you some of the best teaching, not only in Denmark, but in the world.
Some of these world class teachers may pronounce some words differently than you do and it might take a class or two to tune in on the accent. If you are struggling to understand, feel free to ask the teachers to repeat or rephrase. Either in class or after. You can also tell the teacher to speak slower or use slides with key words that enhance your understanding.
What you cannot do, is judge their capabilities based on how well you understand their pronunciation. Their knowledge and skills are not defined by the way they sound.
And remember: if someone is speaking to you in a foreign accent, they are smart enough to know two languages and brave enough to teach in their second.
🔗 You can read more about why accents aren’t wrong at my.cbs.dk.

JOIN US FOR ANOTHER INSPIRING NORDIC NINE NIGHT 📣
Entrepreneurs Joel Haviv (@peoplelikeusdk ) and Jesper Theil Thomsen (@soundboks ) meet CBS researchers Pernille Steen Pedersen and Florence Villeseche for two talks on compassion, competition, failure, and growth.
Together they explore the question:
Can you taste compassion or hear successful failures?
We’ll be serving non-alcoholic beer and snacks 🍻
The evening is moderated by Harrison Krampe, President of CBS Students.
Hope to see you at Café Nexus 7 May 💕

IS WINNING THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF A DISCUSSION? AND AT WHAT COST? 🧐
At CBS we encourage critical thinking and we love when someone is passionate about a topic and wants to share their knowledge and beliefs.
Therefore, feel free to tell others how you feel and what kind of society, world or study place you’d like to see. But remember, that you’re here to learn, also from people who might think or feel differently than you. So, although sharing is important, you must also listen and try to understand where other people come from and why they think they way they do.
No one is asking you to change your views, but to make room for others and meet them with respect and curiosity. Just as you would like them to meet you. Then, maybe, you will both gain a greater understanding, instead of just trying to force your own beliefs down each other’s throats.
Read more on how to have a discussion that leaves both parties wanting more at my.cbs.dk
