Meet Grace Mackenzie, one of our wonderful supporters who took part in the @1mactsofhope campaign by completing a sponsored walk for CBM UK! Following on from her 10-mile walk in support of CBM last year, she decided to involve her church community and make the walk more inclusive! She made sure that those who cannot walk long distances and those who use wheelchairs could take part. Starting from their church, the group travelled through the countryside to Bridge of Weir, covering around five miles in total and raising an incredible £600 for CBM UK❤️ Grace is a wonderful example of putting faith into action and being part of an inclusive community. Thank you, Grace ❤️

At CBM UK, we’re inspired by Jesus’ radical example of solidarity with and compassion for marginalised people. This means we’re passionate about striving for justice and bringing about tangible change in the lives of those who are too often left behind. With decades of experience behind us, we’re committed to continuing to make a difference.

The final story in our Team CBM UK marathon series comes from our very own Arwa ❤️ Arwa completed the marathon in an incredible time of 5:48:24! “The mental battle in the second half was the hardest thing I've ever faced. My body was in pain, but it was my mind that nearly stopped me. Then I saw my colleagues from CBM UK on the course carrying signs at one of the most difficult parts of the race - that kept me going when I needed it most.” Thank you to Arwa and all our runners for taking on this challenge and helping raise awareness and support for CBM UK’s work with people with disabilities in some of the world’s poorest communities. We believe everyone is equal before God. That’s why we’re passionate about disability inclusion and committed to challenging discrimination wherever we see it. Because disability inclusion means embracing the diversity of God’s people.
