Very excited to finally share OSKA! 👦🏻✨ Our new 4-country co-production is a short film by @marksperber (Netflix, Sony Pictures, DreamWorks), based on his great-uncle Oskar Knoblauch’s memoir of surviving the Holocaust, “A Boy’s Story, A Man’s Memory.” It tells the story of a young boy’s first heartbreak, as he loses his friend to hate. Currently in pre-production, Oska is a co-production between Carolyn Bates @cbatmot49 , @thehivepro (@amitgicelter , @aglayashmidt ), The Hidden Institute (@monjavincent ) and @fly_moustache (@jalcarrilho , @saranimatic ). My dear sister, Margaret passed peacefully Wednesday night after a painful fight with cancer. She deeply loved us all: her family, especially her husband and nieces - my daughters, her horse, Nitro, her lifelong friends. Margaret was witty, cultivated, always au courant. Always the coolest big sister, she introduced me to Charles Addams, Milne’s Winnie the Pooh, The Avengers, Push Pin Studios, Thelwell, Punch, Joni Mitchell, sealing wax and velvet ribbons. Loved good food, gardening, needlepoint, everything mid century modern. She binge-watched British crime procedurals up to the end, sharing her faves with my husband. She leaves a hole in my heart. I am devastated. Will love her always.
