Maifest is a traditional Austrian spring festival that marks the arrival of May and the shift into longer, warmer days. It sits within that same Central European tradition of seasonal, beer-led celebrations built around community, food and local culture, just on a more grassroots, less commercial scale.
At its core, it’s about bringing people together after winter and kicking off spring in style, with open-air gatherings, music and a relaxed, social atmosphere.
Beer plays a key role, with breweries releasing fresh, easy-drinking spring lagers designed for sociable drinking. Think lighter, brighter and built for biergarten settings.
This year, Stiegl is bringing that spirit to the UK, inviting ten accounts to host their own Maifest celebration. Each will receive a party keg to tap on 2nd May as part of a UK-wide moment, alongside a full POS kit with everything needed to get the party going.
