@meganchu_ and I met in 2023 and we instantly clicked. Over a dinner, we realized it was HARD to make new friends as adults. We never bump into friends like before which led us to hanging out with the same old circles.

Funny enough how I never got around to recommending my favourite fashion brands in Indonesia. For Part 1 of my recommendations, I’m including brands that have excellent tailoring and brands that I’ve been following for a while. Some of these brands balance Indonesian heritage with contemporary, modernwear very well. The result of this is a classic wardrobe that can be worn for a long time. The best kueh lapis is back in Jakarta, but only until 10 May!
My first time trying @madebyrumah kue lapis was 2 years ago in Hong Kong. They’re light, not greasy and have the perfect chewiness!
Their dessert collaboration with @acaii.id combines their signature kueh lapis with memories of growing up in Indonesia. Such a fun, memorable collaboration!
