The soft opening of “Gentle Water” was so full, I literally only took one picture the entire day. But what an amazing day it was, photo documentation or not. @catbmakes and I were incredibly moved that so many of you chose to spend your Saturday with us and our art – thank you thank you thank you to all who were able to come.
The show will be up for most of the summer and we invite you to come take a peek anytime (reach out to Cat or me here or text and one of us meet you there anytime). ⭐️ We will also be hosting a reception and artists talk in June or July, so be on the lookout for a save-the-date.
Finally, a big thank you for all your support as I embark on this new/old journey of photography. Your encouragement has helped me move through the inevitable imposter syndrome that accompanies any new endeavor, and I’m excited to see where this road leads 🥰

Luminescent 2 is ready to shine. Making this lampshade was a fun side quest while making the Specimen Series, combining the scale of the headdresses with the intricate beadwork of the smaller sculptures.

This has become a year of learning to level up my sculpture practice. First stop: wet felting techniques lead by the precise and wonderful @feltstrong
I’m planning on incorporating these techniques into the next round of specimen sculptures. And I am full of gratitude for the @cltiscreative HUG Grant I won this month to help cover some of the costs of this worthy investment in my studio practice. This means I can experiment, fail, and learn even more!

We did it! I had an absolute blast teaching the basics of beading this Saturday to a fantastic group of people. Everyone went home with new skills and supplies to finish their project if they needed them. ☺️
