The incredible range of work produced by our workshop team is something we probably don’t showcase enough! Alongside stage sets, exhibition stands, bars and bespoke build projects, our skilled joinery team also delivers premium retail and point-of-sale displays for leading brands.
Recently, we were commissioned by @ianmacleodeu to create this striking Tamdhu installation for The Whisky Shop, Piccadilly.
Designed, manufactured and installed, the display reflects the heritage, craftsmanship and signature sherry cask maturation synonymous with the Tamdhu brand.
Now on display in one of London’s most iconic retail destinations.

Our team recently completed Robe’s two-day technical training in Northampton, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of Robe lighting fixtures. The course further strengthened their practical skill set and deepened their understanding of industry-leading equipment. Kevin, our Asset Technician, shares his reflections on the experience.

A self-confessed tech enthusiast, he’s always exploring how the latest innovations can elevate our events and create fresh, exciting experiences.
We’re also delighted to welcome Ryan Bain to the team! With more than 10 years’ experience across a wide range of events in Scotland and beyond, Ryan has progressed from AV Technician to Project Manager. His passion for detail and collaboration makes him a perfect fit for delivering standout events alongside our clients, technicians, and suppliers.

Last week we were excited to host training sessions for both Catalyst staff and Freelancers for the GreenGo comms system.
Many thanks to Charles and Erika from @canfordaudio this informative session.
This was the first use of the purpose built training room at our new unit and a great way to start what will hopefully see it getting plenty of use.
We are hoping to welcome other external companies to deliver training sessions here so please keep your eyes open for future events.

We’re excited to welcome three new members to the team: Becky Hogan, Malcolm Bayne, and Mark Mathieson
Becky and Malcolm have joined us as Junior Technicians and are already getting stuck in working alongside our experienced technicians and learning the ropes with all of our equipment from the warehouse team. Having previously freelanced with us, Becky and Malcolm are now part of the team full-time so it’s great to see their journey continue with us!
Mark joins us as Scenic Asset Manager, bringing with him many years of hands-on experience working with scenic and staging elements. His expertise will play a key role in managing and developing our scenic assets as we continue to grow and deliver increasingly ambitious projects.

Ben from AC-ET showcased some exciting new kit, including the small format frame yet exceptionally powerful Avolites D3 system. We’re looking forward to getting our hands on them in our hire fleet.
We also had Murray Scott from Absen demonstrating the impressive JP8 Pro transparent LED screen… certainly a product which opens new creative avenues to lighting designers and VJs alike.

Develop your knowledge of the Green-GO communications system with our upcoming hands-on training.
Join us at Catalyst for a session delivered by a Canford Audio engineer. This will start with an “intro to Green-GO” but will provide hands on experience and, as discussions develop, can go further in depth as the attendees wish.
We are hoping this will give you the practical skills and confidence to deploy and manage Green-GO in a laid back atmosphere.
Additionally there will be a sample of the product range to show how the system can be integrated with 3rd party workflows, allowing Green-GO to Integrate seamlessly into the wider system.
