Last week I hosted in collaboration with @smokeheadwhisky and @barclara.berlin a Masterclass about carbonation science and setup 🫧 We fully sold out! ❤️ After that we organised a guest-shift with plenty of tasty single malts @smokeheadwhisky and good conversations. 🇩🇰Et af de sidste billeder, jeg nåede at tage i sneen, var af @ianmacleodeu og deres 18-års Isle of Sky – en virkelig god 18-års whisky til prisen. Faktisk er det nok en af de bedste, du finder i den prisklasse, som ligger på omkring 650 kr. 👌 Den er smooth, rund, med meget let røg og en god dybde – noter af tørret frugt, abrikos og mørk chokolade 🍫 Skål på en fantastisk dag 🥃 🇬🇧One of the last photos I managed to take in the snow was of @ianmacleodeu Isle of Skye and their 18-year-old – a truly great 18-year-old whisky for the price. In fact, it’s probably one of the best you’ll find in that price range, at around 80 EUR 👌 It’s smooth and well-rounded, with very light smoke and great depth – notes of dried fruit, apricot, and dark chocolate 🍫 Cheers to an amazing day 🥃 #affortable #isleofskye #greatwhisky #blendedwhisky

Damn. Look at the colour on this thing. That’s a deep ruby red. Much like Guiness. Was sifting through the “to-open” pile, and came across this from a couple of years ago…(yes, it’s a big pile) I visited Tamdhu last year, and saw first hand the amount of bottles the distillery itself has bottled. Quite incredible really & whilst I can’t remember the exact number (@gdundas1 help me out!) it was LOW. Super LOW! Yesterday at the Palace of Holyrood, His Majesty The King sampled Rosebank 31 Year Old during a distinguished reception marking the Scottish Investment Forum, hosted alongside First Minister John Swinney MSP. We were proud to have Rosebank represented by Leonard Russell, Managing Director & Chairman; Tom Russell, Head of International Business Development; and Katy Muggeridge, Brand Director for Rosebank. This exceptional whisky was distilled before Rosebank’s closure in 1993 and matured quietly for more than three decades. Moments like these honour our heritage and look ahead to an exciting new chapter for Rosebank in Falkirk. @rosebankwhisky

Introducing @whiskymikeimd , Global Whisky Brand Ambassador at @ianmacleodeu and our incredible #IndustryInspiration ! 🥂   Michael began his career 16 years ago as a Barback in a Tiki bar in Leicester, igniting his passion for the industry. Since then, Michael joined @edinburghgin , part of Ian Macleod Distillers as a Distillery Ambassador and after 8 months of delivering masterclasses, learning about Distilling and Cocktail development, a position opened to be a Global Whisky Brand Ambassador.    Speaking on his love for the brands, Michael said, “We are a family owned business, and with that comes a lot of options to be creative and to make an impact across the brands. The company really supports ambassadors and allows us to grow within the company and personally. Regarding the portfolio, it’s so diverse from food pairings with Incredibly Rare high end Single Malt to being rebellious with Smokehead in cocktails across the world.”    Looking to the future, Michael shared his goals, “My short-term goals are to write a book that’s part Travel Guide of my experiences and the amazing people I’ve met in my past few years as a Globa Whisky BA, and part Cocktail and Food Recipe guide. My long-term goals are to eventually get into being a Brand Director, and create my own storytelling with brands.”    To conclude, Michael advised, “Believe in yourself and learn as much as possible about the industry. I am and will always be learning. That and have fun. I’ll always push myself to see what I can achieve next by stopping the negative energy that can come into your thoughts sometimes, those little doubts and the imposter syndrome, and I tell myself that I actually I know what I’m talking about and I believe in who I am as a Brand Ambassador.”
