Took Ranni out to Uchicon a couple weeks ago, and got some INCREDIBLY moody photos with @infinityspiralphotography . So so so happy how these turned out!!
I'm definitely feeling more drawn to Fromsoft media lately, and I do think it's something I'll be drawing inspiration and making cosplay from for a long time. (In fact I have another in the works from Dark Souls 3... TBD when that'll be finished though!) Still haven't gotten around to playing Elden Ring Nightreign, but maybe someday!

We made magic in these photos from Katsucon with @amiephotos ! Persephone is a joy to wear and I really really love this cosplay. I'll be bringing her to Acen as well!!
I took so few photos at C2E2 this year!! Not sure how that happened :/ But I at least have a picture of each costume for the day. I was more comfortable than I expected in my Phoenix for Saturday, though that headpiece needs some fit adjustment for next time.

Went to Uchicon yesterday! Definitely the coldest I've been at a con, so why not wear my warmest cosplay?
Honestly, when I was outside I was pretty damn comfortable. I've only worn Ranni twice now, and it's been in August and January 😂 only the extreme temperatures for her. Much more suited to winter though, I think.
I did do a professional shoot that I'm very excited about, but I got my partner to grab a few shots once the snow started!!!
Persephone Hades 2 WIPS!!
I want to be less precious with my posts here and show more WIP again. (Maybe get my website up again and do full posts there???)
Unfortunately these are literally all the photos I took while making Persephone. Most of the work was finding the right FABRIC. My god, finding a true green and not kelly or forest green in the right drape was difficult. I AGONIZED over the fabric for weeks, and eventually chose a rayon challis.
The wig wasn't quite as hard as I thought. I gave myself a good starting point by buying a "Cloud Bumblebee wig" from Kasou and sewed in extra wefts and ponytail, so a lot of the top wefts I didn't have to trim at all. Spiking and shaping was still on me though! I generally dislike crimping and the look of only crimped wigs personally, so all the height here is from back combing. I've started to use a little crimping to give "raw" wefts a little boost, so I did that with the ponytail a little.
The fabric painting was fun, again, I like trying to find the right balance of medium + paint so it's not crunchy.
All the gold was fabric busting, yay!! I think it's originally from spandex world. And then a ton of hand sewing after the tubes were made and added felt inserts for body.
