Took Ranni out to Uchicon a couple weeks ago, and got some INCREDIBLY moody photos with @infinityspiralphotography . So so so happy how these turned out!! I'm definitely feeling more drawn to Fromsoft media lately, and I do think it's something I'll be drawing inspiration and making cosplay from for a long time. (In fact I have another in the works from Dark Souls 3... TBD when that'll be finished though!) Still haven't gotten around to playing Elden Ring Nightreign, but maybe someday!

- I'm trying a different storytelling format with this stunning photoshoot of our Aiel, let me know if you like it cause it's such a departure from my usual This was an all summer crafting marathon that took two of us, and multiple friends helping onsite the day of, to execute. Despite the seemingly simple desert-wear, there's a lot of little details and making everything weathered and worn, but somewhat uniform between Bain and Chiad. One more of @etaru as Maria from Castlevania. This is why I like working on location vs conventions because you can get characters actually interacting with the scene like the steps and the rail here. The steps weren't even part of the original location scouting it was just inspired on the day of. You just never know when opportunities and inspiration will come but of course it's always great when things work out.

✞༒ Marble Gallery ༒✞ I had my big owl for the photoshoot, but I also had three teeny tiny owls that I planned to bring with me to Dragoncon to throw at people as her attack (if you've played the game, most of her actions are summoning owls). As luck would have it.... I forgot to bring them both times 🥲 Big kudos to Chris for capturing the colors and textures of the overcoat and sash. Velvet is famously difficult to photograph accurately, especially darker colors like forest green that just absorb and eat up available light. Can you believe I *finally* properly dressed up for Ren Faire? All my Witcher costumes are simply too hot for Chicago summers, but Keira Metz with all the cottons and linens kind of fits perfectly. I wore most of the costume, just not all the ties and tassels at the waist or wig because it was a sweltering 90°F and 99% humidity. But with braids, it was ✨peak✨ Slavic vibe lol. Chris captured these beautiful moments early in the day before my makeup melted in the heat and we subsequently got rained on.
