Thread is a really really special one.
In the studio with @markybeats we thought we were writing the song for fun even for another artist. We were just writing to write.
I was saying lines I didn’t think made any sense and Marc would say “who cares if it doesn’t make sense “I keep it going we make it right” sounds interesting.
We wrote the song so quickly truly in a state of flow. Months later, I realized what the song as about and new I had to keep it.
Thread is about falling head over heels se deeply that you don’t even realize you’ve started to lose yourself. It reminds me that in love, I can become the best version of myself; open, adaptable and caring but can also change me for the worst. Make me a beggar pleading for them to stay and willing to become whatever they need. Thread still breaks my heart to this day because it reminds me how much seeing love leave destroys us.

I hopped on a train to Montreal in September to shoot visuals for “When I Think About Us” with Cinzia and @la.filmeuse . This concept started as an idea after a “wine and mood board night” and turned into weeks of planning, location scouting, outfit selection, vintage car procurement, and an overly detailed Milanote board to pull it all together.
After a long day of shooting, some clouds started to roll in and we were bummed about not getting the iconic sunset shots we had hoped for. But somewhere along the way, the universe decided to favour us with a suddenly bright sky full of stunning orange, pink, and violet tones. We were about to wrap and started freaking out about how beautiful everything was. We immediately picked our cameras back up and kept shooting until it was completely dark. 📸
On the way back home I was feeling so inspired by what we captured and the teamwork throughout the shoot. There is so much magic that happens when creative women get together and put their minds towards a project. Thanks again to Cinzia and Ariane for being the best collaborators! 💞

Crying in Romanian in the photo pit at @irinarimes Toronto show 😭 🇷🇴
Being the first person born in Canada in my family, I’ve always felt a little bit disconnected from my heritage. Despite Romanian technically being the first language I learned, I struggle to speak it fluently.
As a kid, I didn’t care all too much about knowing the language. My dad told me, “you came home from school one day and suddenly you were speaking English.”
As an adult, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for where I’m from and have felt a strong desire to reconnect with my roots. I discovered Irina Rimes’ music during this time and immersed myself in songs and storytelling written in Romanian. Being at the show with my sister, and getting to take photos of her set was really special for me.
