White Plains Hospital has officially broke ground on a new 10-story tower, featuring a larger emergency department and 240 private patient rooms. The $2 billion, 475,000-square-foot expansion project will also include a new parking structure with approximately 2,000 spaces. The expansion is driven by a significant increase in patient volume and aims to alleviate overcrowding in the emergency room and other departments. The expansion will create a need for about 1,000 new positions, including nurses, technicians, technical services and support roles.
