RIP to P.E.A.C.E of Freestyle Fellowship. One of the most brilliant and unique to ever touch mic, a pioneer, an innovator, a freestyle god, a father of style with no father to his style. It’s nuts to look back to early FF records and consider that he was doing super fast, high concept, melodic rap before that existed. If you haven’t heard him before go listen to his work with the Fellowship as well as his solo work.
After a break from performing I’m excited to announce that I’ll be playing next Friday 8th August at @pelican.house as part of a fundraiser for @workers4pal . I will be running some brand new tunes and the line up is dope with plenty dancing happening into the night. It’s set to be actual summer vibes next week so what better way to enjoy it than getting lively in a venue with a sick outdoor space (and a cheap bar) while raising money for the legal fees of those being taken to court for fighting the good fight. Safe gang. I am excited to announce the release of an album of original material I have been making with my year 5 and 6 students. All vocal and instrumental parts (apart from the drums) composed and performed entirely by them. Some of them would have been as young as 9 when they made these songs. I am so proud of all of them.
