This week, we have been out speaking to workers in the civil service about how they can organise for Palestine in their workplaces ✊
Many civil service workers feel deeply uncomfortable with Britain’s relations with Israel and have been organising within their union, PCS, to take action around this. If you are a member, support motion A65 on Palestine and anti-imperialist at the PCS conference later this month 🗳️
This coming Thursday May 7, 2026, come to Workers for a Free Palestine's event at Oxford House in London to hear from panelists, including members of the civil service, about how to build the leverage necessary to push back against escalating imperialist and Zionist violence (link in bio for more details) 💪
If you are a PCS member and/or civil service worker and would like to find out more about how you can take action for Palestine in your workplace, contact us 📮
On International Workers' Day, we remember the moments when workers around the world went on strike for Palestine. This list is our non-exhaustive attempt at chronicling working-class resistance taking material action against Zionist occupation and genocide.
We pay tribute to the workers who came before us and draw inspiration from the moments when the working class united to leverage its power against capitalism and imperialism.
In these most brutal of times, we gain strength from this dignified history and march towards a near future of working-class unity. May many more such movements take root and grow, until Palestine is free 🛠️✊🇵🇸

PCS Workers Organise Against Genocide! 🇵🇸
Support motion A65 at PCS conference this May.
Workers across the PCS have been taking workplace action to end the genocide. At this years annual delegate conference, workers within the civil service have put forward motion A65 on Palestine and Anti-Imperialism. This motion makes clear that anti-imperialism is a workplace issue, pushing back on the outsourcing of internationalist solidarity that we have seen in many British unions over recent years. This motion instructs the unions NEC to work with branches to explore possibilities of taking industrial action on international issues such as the liberation of Palestine.
🚨 If you’re are a member of PCS you can get your branch to second the motion, support it at your mandating meetings and register to speak on it at conference.
🚨 If you are a branch delegate you can vote for it on the conference floor.
PCS supports members in various sectors critical to the ways that Britain support Israel, the union therefore has huge potential leverage in the fight for a free Palestine.
Get in touch with us if you are a PCS member or are interested in hearing more about how you can support the work happening around the union. 🇵🇸
As we mark 78 years of the Nakba, let today re-radicalise you.
We must heed the call from our comrades in Palestine and double down on our efforts to bring the Zionist regime to its knees, now more than ever.
Educate and organise within your workplaces, communities and social groups - where we build working class power we can break the supply lines that fuel the genocidal regime, but it’s up to us.
Over the weekend across Britain, there will be mobilisations in support of Palestine, we urge you to join where possible and help build a widespread movement of resistance. Inspired by acts of solidarity shown by workers around the world!

WORKERS AROUND THE WORLD UNITE FOR A FREE PALESTINE 🇵🇸
Last Thursday, WFFP hosted a panel discussion to mark International Workers' Day titled "Strike against imperialism," looking at how to build leverage to push back against escalating imperialist and Zionist violence.
A big thanks to the wonderful panelists, who all spoke passionately and eloquently about what worker mobilisation for Palestine looks like in their industries – whether hospitality, academia, the civil service, or healthcare – and thanks to the audience members who came to Oxford House and asked engaging questions.
We will be sharing insights from this discussion on social media, our mailing list (sign-up link in bio), and most importantly, in the streets.

On the 22nd March, we took to the streets against US-Zionist state terror, which is killing and strangling our planet. It is our obligation to resist the advances of US-led imperialist war on our region and the Global South and to resist the devastation it leaves in its wake. We assembled at the US Embassy, heard some incredible speeches and then marched out into the streets of London to make our united voices heard. We brought together struggles from all across the world into one unified voice: No to US-Zionist imperialism and terror!
