Mix 010 is here: six hours of pure bliss, by our very own @currents______ . We travel back in time a bit to the moment @kohese_ reached out and asked us if we would like to do a hosting with CASCADE at @clubpaap . We were a bit overwhelmed, but mostly grateful and excited about how quickly this offer came to the table, as we had released our first ever CASCADE mix only 2 days prior. We didn't have to think about it for too long though and started planning how our hosting should sound, look and feel.. To make fantasies into reality, we teamed up with @nieuwemaker , who supplied us with a solid amount of custom built "Pixel Mini's" (slide 6) and helped us think through a light plan and floor layout. Later on, @raveplan stepped in and dialed in their sound system to perfection. With all that done, we were ready to take on our first hosting and the result was an absolute 10/10 - iykyk! We've been sitting on this recording for a while now, and decided CASCADE 010. would be a nice milestone moment to release this recording: a beautiful journey through vibes and energies. Smooth arrivals at Cloud 9 with Stashton, for CASCADE's ninth episode! We stumbled upon Stashton through the wonder world of algorithms and Instagram reels, where he shows off his otherworldly dub-tech and reggae sampled productions to the world. The Durham based dub-tech philanthropist is truly obssessed with the genre, and it shows. Drawing massive inspiration from Berg Audio releases, Stashton is constantly finding himself chasing the 'lush & dubby' sounds when digging, as well as throughout his own productions. After tapping into his back catalog and some unreleased bits he forwarded us, we knew for sure: we need Stash on the series. The 8th CASCADE installment is here with none other than Berlin based Maciek. The Cape Town born & raised feels most at home when he’s hanging out in the blend - Maciek is known for his extensive music knowledge, making his way in the international music scene as a singer, songwriter ánd producer under the alias Atelier; his music has been supported by the likes of Dixon, Âme, &ME, Sven Väth and, believe it or not, has even been featured in Grand Theft Auto. On the disc jockeying side of things, as a long time record collector; Maciek drifts between Deep/Dub/Minimal House with regular sidesteps into Breakbeat, Trip-Hop & Ambient. He endeavours to create an experience inviting the listener to let themselves go with the music, beat by beat. A product of word of mouth, Maciek has played all sorts of environments. Notable shows include Lighthouse Festival (Croatia), Small Town Beat (SA), Cape Town Electronic Music Festival, Pastiche International, GartN Berlin and Kauz Zurich.
