I’ve loved and been loved, but never like this.
earlier this summer @nicole.l.staple and I eloped in italy.
and I’ve never been so happy.
what started as a casual first date hike at tuna canyon has led to an ever-deepening, magical relationship with the most beautiful person.
having found healing from significant loss, pain, and the conditioning handed to us, we found each other at the perfect moment in time. our stories weaving together in ways we never could’ve orchestrated or manufactured.
being with nicole feels like a dance between adventure and nurture, expansion and ease, sensuality and safety. she’s my favorite and I’m so damn grateful to now call her my wife.

it’s been three months since I was diagnosed with cancer. two months since surgery to remove the mass. one month since walking out of @usckeckug with news that I didn’t need chemo. and one day since getting clear blood labs and scans back.
so. damn. grateful.
for the endless support from friends and family.
for the incredible skill and care of my doctors.
for the most loving partner in @nicole.l.staple .
for the path I never saw coming.
what is coming next will not look like what has come before.
traveling solo is often such an immersive, vulnerable experience for me. equal parts expansive and triggering af. give me everything you’ve got 2024, I’m here for it.
make peace
with all the women/men
you once were
lay flowers
at their feet
offer them incense
and honey
and forgiveness
honor them
and give them
your silence
listen
bless them
and let them be
for they are the bones
of the temple
you sit in now
for they are
the rivers
of wisdom
leading you toward
the sea
I have been a thousand different women/men

feeling into a new season. don’t know what’s next and everything feels unfamiliar. but also so alive. learning to embrace what’s coming for the beauty it offers.
