My Love Letter to Golf...
We won two Clios yesterday for LIV Golf's Duels effort from this past year.
And I’ll be honest—awards are fine. They’re shiny. They look cool on a shelf.
But that’s not what this one means to me.
Because this one is about legacy.
My grandfather — a Scotsman — handed this game to my dad.
My dad, my hero, handed it to me.
And now it’s mine to carry, to protect, to pass along.
The fairways we’ve walked.
The big hugs after the last putt drops.
The stories told between swings.
The ashes scattered where the wind touches the grass just right on 16 of the Old.
Golf holds all of it.
It remembers for us.
This game has taken me to places I never thought I’d go.
It’s introduced me to strangers who somehow became brothers by the 18th.
It’s given me co-workers and teammates who show up with heart — who stay late, who chase ideas, who help turn dreams into something real.
It’s given me partners who believe that golf isn’t just content — it’s culture, family, identity, home.
Golf reminds me that the world can still be fair.
Still be beautiful.
Still reward the person who keeps showing up.
Because golf is painful.
It’s honest.
It doesn’t care who you are.
You have to earn every bit of it.
But when you catch one pure — just one — it’s enough to make you believe again.
This award doesn’t represent a campaign.
It represents the dream behind the campaign.
It represents the belief that the best things in life are worth fighting for.
So thank you, golf.
For my family.
For my friends.
For the strangers who became something more.
For the work that feels like purpose.
For the hope that still lives in the pursuit.
And thank you to the Big Bird Agency team (and all of Summit House), and to every partner who trusted us to tell this story — not as entertainment, but as love.
