A couple days in the city last month. Visited @pier24photography for the last time in human history. Visited @kyle_kyle_kyle_kyle_kyle_kyle_ at @fraenkelgallery and was blessed with digging through boxes of amazing photograph’s from Winogrand, Arbus, and Friedlander without wearing gloves 😂 … saw the @hamburger_eyes room at @sfmoma : played a raucous game of sloshball for @nitramravlam birthday… hung with @berlinbrrr@awstain drinking beers @bookandjobgallery … it was all beautiful chaos. Rode my bike with @johndanielreiss and Kyle from Ocean Beach to the Bay Bridge. Someone lit a Christmas tree on fire in front of the gallery the night before I got into town. Bought some books, ate some great food. Met @shhhsecretshop and @carolinacz beautiful baby. I think I managed to do it all. #shootfilm #ilfordpan #ilford
Seven frames from the point n shoot over the last couple months. In around and all over. Brad the Tractor Man used to do stunts in the 80s and 90s, his speciality was skydiving and base jumping. The dude has stories. My first question was about Point Break (he didn’t work on it) - that particular day ended with him divulging he had been a roadie - for lamb chop - the beloved children’s puppet.
Back in November, @japancamerahunter gifted me some 120 rolls of his #streetpan400 : I’d been making my way through them trying different developers (Rodinal had been back ordered for 6+ months) and couldn’t find one I enjoyed : d-76, fx35, ilfosol, I couldn’t get it right. On my last roll the clouds parted and Rodinal was restocked, here are a few from that roll. Thanks Bellamy!
An oldie. Fairly certain this was taken during the double exposure craze of 2014 : nobody was safe from that one : the trick for me was finding a camera that would allow me to take these hand held without advancing the film plane… the only thing that stopped me from buying a Mamiya 7ii back when they were still under 2k$… the golden gate.
