We close “Room By The Sea” TONIGHT at 8pm after an incredible run and extension! This has been the most magical/whirlwind/privilege/joyride of a production and if you’ve been in space with me at all over the past few months, you know how special and healing this one has been. I am so thankful to everyone who has come out to support us! 🥹 What a gift to share @juanmigueljuanson ’s powerful poetry and this world with our community, while also creating a space that is truly accessible for all artists and theatre goers alike. Tonight we begin our final week of performances for @indieshakes “Love’s Labour’s Lost” and it’s been a gift to return to the park as Maria 🦌💕🎭 Had to give these gorgeous character shots by @grettelcortesphotography a moment! Also sharing gems from the journey so far on my story today; more reflection and BTS goodies to come this week. Thank you to everyone who has joined us in community during our run! Many of us are deeply hurting and fighting so much daily; this summer I’ve been holding the weight/beauty/responsibility of this accessible, welcoming space we build each year and doing my best to stay present. We have had really special community nights this season and this Thursday you can join us for our annual hygiene kit build with SELAH! Performances are **FREE** and we run every night at 7pm in the Old Zoo Dell in Griffith Park until we must close July 27th. I promise you will regret missing this rarely produced work and fierce ensemble!
