Well Solingen 2026 is over. It was a lot of fun meeting you all and introducing our materials to new people. We hope everyone had a great time and found some new knives or supplies. Thanks for having us Solingen it was great to visit you. We already cant wait til next year! Were you at Solingen?

When I had a customer ask if we could do something special with his two-knife order to honor a brother he recently lost I was moved by the opportunity to do something bigger than just make somebody a knife. He sent me some of hia brother's ashes that were placed inside the handles during glue-up and he was gracious enough to let me share the process with the UTB family. The final detail that was revealed when he received the knives was his brother's initials etched onto the butt of the tang so that anytime he looks down he will see his brother staring back up to him. A special shoutout to all my suppliers who's materials went into making this matching-but-not-matching set of knive a reality for my clients vision. @agleatherandtool @carbonwaves @morphaholic @rosiesrippers Also a huge shoutout to my brother in knives @egknives for taking the time to make me the stencil for the intitials. Yesterday we were at the DKE @dkeshow fair in Houten and it was so wonderful meeting all of you! It was so great to share our passion for the materials we make and design all in house here in Holland with you. We also got to hear and see some of your passion as well in the products you make! We hope everyone had a great day as well! We can not wait to see what you make with your new CarbonWaves materials!
