There is a strange dissonance in watching the world carry on while my own has been forever changed. What began as a trip to Florida became unexpectedly life-altering, and our ‘Florida home’ is now marked by a silence I never expected to face so suddenly. Losing my father—one of my best friends and unconditional supporters—has left a void deeply etched in my soul.
