From Friday mornings moonset behind the #StatueOfLiberty from the #BrooklynBridge from set up, to the actual photos, to selfie. Always great hanging out with my good friend @gettinviggy chasing the #moon around #NYC

My new favorite capture of #YankeeStadium from yesterdays #StarWars bobble head give away. This was taken at the bottom of the 8th inning, @thejudge44 is up to bad and swinging. The clouds yesterday made for a perfect shot.

A new and improved edit of the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex that I captured last week. Editing process was done in Siril, just under two hours of data.

The Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex, located about 460 light years away.
Ever since I noticed this nebula in the night sky when I photographed the Milky Way, it’s been one of my favorites. The different colors of the nebula in this cloud complex mixed with the dark dust lanes make it really pop.
This is my first real attempt at focusing on this target. Also my first real edit of this mornings data. I’m sure I’ll do a dozen more edits.
This is 1hr and 47 minutes of data. As we can see I definitely need more time to bring out the hydrogen alpha (red nebula).
I used my Nikon Z7II, a 40 year old Nikon 80-200mm lens at 200mm. 30 seconds, ISO 3200, f/3.2. Stacked in Siril and finished the edit in photoshop.
What do you think? Have you ever noticed this cloud complex in the night sky? These colors cannot be seen with the naked eye, but can be captured during some
Astrophotography.

3 years ago today, @anthonyvolpe hit his first career homerun and I was there to capture these images from center field. Us diehard #Yankee fans are looking forward to seeing Volpe back on the field in May.
