It truly is an amazing event benefiting @nationalpcf and Iām beyond honored to be a part of Team W-Sauce with my boys @bamagrillmaster@darksideofthegrill@tfti.bbq@chucksflavortrain . We absolutely crushed it out on the water and won First Place in Fishing and they worked their magic to win the Peopleās Choice for BBQ. As Iām writing this, it still feels so surreal. The waves of emotions that are still running through me are wild. Until this day, Iāve never had a fish make me break down and cry after landing it. The who, when, where, why, and how couldnāt have been imagined any better. On June 21, 2025 I landed a Key West/ Lower Keys Flats Permit on Fly for the first time ever, and I self guided from my Bay Boat! I couldnāt have accomplished this incredible achievement without the help of my amazing girlfriend @gracie.meyer . Thank you for all the support and for being my bad ass wheel-woman, and a big shoutout to @fly2die5 for the fly he tied that caught this beautiful fish. I will remember and cherish this day forever. Might also retire from fly fishing for Permit after thisā¦ For those curious this fish measured in at 86cm to the fork

Whatās better than slamming in the morning? Slamming in the afternoon!!
Ron and I spent the first 5 hours of our trip watching fish without hooking a single one. Thatās tough on moral, but we kept at it. I kid you not at noon on the dot it all turned around and we started putting the pieces together to slam in the final 3 hours. Patience and perseverance really paid off. Cheers, Ron!

Team W Sauce walked the stage, and we took 1st Runner Up Grand Champion! I could not be more proud of this team, and Iām always incredibly honored to be apart of it. Such a fun 3 Day tournament of Fishing, Sandbar, and BBQ benefiting @nationalpcf which is truly an amazing cause.
