When we first envisioned Papillon, our goal was to spread our wings and take a unique, contemporary approach to Southeast Asian flavors. Seeing this vision acknowledged by the prestigious Michelin Guide is a pleasant surprise.
A testament to the hard work, passion, and creativity of our incredible team and partners, Chefs @capnfonso and @ramosrj , the celebration doesn’t stop here.

Huge thanks to my family and my friends that always gave their undying support especially on those days that feels like it’s hopeless. To our partners who believed in us! To the regulars who would always give us that ray of sunshine feedback that put smiles on our faces for that motivation boost! To the team, all that sacrifice, straight-shifts to cover, brainstorming ideas, all the success and failure.
Never in my life did I expect for us to get a recognition from the Michelin Guide. All the team’s hard-work, talent, sacrifices and devotion in effect are recognized as well! The journey is never ever easy!
To be with all the talented chefs the other night, to have experienced the awarding ceremony together and celebrating each other and what they represent is insanely wonderful. Congrats to all my co-chefs!

To be included in the inaugural edition of the Michelin guide was not in our bingo card in this lifetime! Michelin was so out of reach that we didn’t even dare to dream.
Our vision for Lampara has always been to shine a new light on Filipino cuisine. To be recognized for a Bib Gourmand award is truly an honor. Now that Filipino cuisine is at its brightest, we are determined to continue to do our part by striving to be better.
