Maggie here! @capitalswings weekend was nothing short of magical ✨
Not only did I get to celebrate my best friend’s birthday but I also placed Top 5 in both competitions I entered!
I first competed in a strictly with my coach and friend Amber, who gave me nothing but confidence and the most genuinely fun experience on the floor. We had no expectations of making finals — let alone placing 4th out of about 30 couples!
Later in the weekend, I competed in a novice J&J (Random Partner/Random Song) with 105 follows entered — definitely one of the biggest comps I’ve done! Not only did I make it to finals, but I placed 5th out of 105.
This whole experience has been such a journey of growth and pushing myself to learn more and this weekend felt like a reward for all that hard work. I’m incredibly thankful for the support I’ve received and for the opportunities dance continues to bring into my life.
I truly can’t wait to see what’s next 🫶🏻
