🚧 The Cape Winelands has been battered by recent storms, leaving major road infrastructure severely damaged and several towns effectively cut off. Areas including Robertson, Worcester and McGregor have been heavily impacted, while the Franschhoek Pass has been closed indefinitely to ALL vehicles following significant roadway damage. Flooding along the Breede River has submerged vineyards, damaged critical infrastructure and disrupted supply routes to farms across the region due to washed away and unsafe roads. Local communities and authorities are working around the clock to restore access and repair damaged infrastructure. Motorists are urged to avoid unnecessary travel in the region to allow emergency and repair crews to operate safely and efficiently. ⚠️🌧️🚜 #capetalk #capestorm

Learner licence failure rates have reportedly spiked following the rollout of the City of Cape Town’s new digital testing system. The computer-based tests appear to be far stricter, less forgiving and more difficult than the old manual system, with some testing centres allegedly seeing pass rates plummet almost overnight. The City says the digital system is designed to improve fairness, reduce corruption and standardise testing, but frustrated learners argue the sudden jump in failures is leaving them stuck in a costly cycle of rewrites, booking delays and mounting expenses. Is the new system exposing poor driver knowledge… or making it unnecessarily difficult to pass? 🚗💻📉 #CapeTalk #JoinTheConversation

Resolving a customer query is no longer done face-to-face, or even person-to-person. More companies are turning to AI chatbots for customer service, but many customers say the experience leaves them frustrated, stuck in endless loops, and without real solutions. Is the growing use of artificial intelligence in customer service leaving you annoyed too? Watch the full episode of Consumer Talk on PRIMEDIA+. #CapeTalk #ConsumerTalk

The Democratic Alliance says being part of the Government of National Unity does NOT guarantee support for President Cyril Ramaphosa if impeachment proceedings over the Phala Phala matter move forward. Geordin Hill-Lewis joined Lester Kiewit to unpack where the DA stands, and whether the GNU partnership has limits. Is this principled politics… or the first real crack in the GNU? 🎧 Listen to the full conversation on Primedia+ #capetalk #gnu #phalaphala

The cat is finally out the bag...that day in November when I was off air with no explanation? This is where I was.... Checking out the MasterChef kitchen - ogling the pantry, fangirling the judges, coveting the kitchen appliances - and tasting the food! It was a blast! And I finally get to talk about it as our episode airs this coming Sunday - tune in at 6pm on eTV to watch what happens when you put faces for radio onto TV... @sa_masterchef @capetalkza
