Quietly, I was seriously impressed by this group. Their determination, energy, moods and vibes never dropped once. It was all about good times, friendships, challenge and simply giving it a crack.
And trust me — the Great Southern hike is no joke. Big days, big climbs, tired legs and beautiful moments all wrapped into one.
Cape2Camp has never been about speed or racing the track… BUT this crew quietly broke a new record in the toughest days in the Cape2Camp experience, rolling into camp before 3pm 😳👏

WHERE THE PLAN ENDS, THE ADVENTURE BEGINS
Eight days. Seven nights. One Indie Camper.
We met in Tromsø with barely any comms, no fixed route, and three options on the table — Lofoten, Senja, & Lyngen Alps.
Forecast became the compass — snow + sun = go.
And just like that… eight full days in the Lyngen Alps.
Remote. Flexible. Fully self-guided.
Drive to the base. Wake up. Ski. Repeat.
I was the driver.
@maaghenrik ‘s on dinner duties and pesto pasta was the winner, of course 🇨🇭
And those moments where you realise you’re completely out there… but still on track.

NORWAY POSTCARDS 🇳🇴❄️
This is what summit to sea looks like in the Arctic north of Norway. ⛷️
Straight up. Steep, consistent climbing — around 1200 vertical metres a day.
No shortcuts. No easy sections. Just putting one foot in front of the other.
Dragging myself up those mountains,
I made a quiet promise to myself —
when I get to the top, I won’t complain about anything ever again. And off course.. start going to the gym 🏋️♂️🏃♂️
And when you do reach it,
it’s simple — snow meeting turquoise water,
and a kind of perspective you only get by earning it.
What stands out just as much is the culture.
Old timber huts scattered along the fjords.
Fishing communities still active.
Klippfisk — salt-cured, dried cod — still hanging along the coast, part of everyday life.
And torsketunge — cod tongue — a local delicacy… and yes, it was sooo delicious.
It’s a remote, largely untouched part of Norway.
Not overdeveloped, not overdone.
Just a place where nature, culture, and physical challenge
sit side by side — and feel very real.
If any of you ever get the chance to experience something like this… take it 💙

Norway Postcard 🇳🇴
Right at the very tail end of the season… when chances were low and expectations even lower… we got one night.
On the flight from Oslo to Tromsø—taking you well beyond the Arctic Circle—I spoke to a lady who told me how they used to lie in the snow as kids, making snow angels while the northern lights danced above them.
And then there we were. Between 11 and 2. Looking up at something I’ve never seen before. Growing up in Oslo, this isn’t something you just “see.”
And honestly… it caught me off guard.
It was so alive. So moving.
Dancing across the sky.
Even on a “low” night—it felt incredibly special.
