Dans un monde saturé de désinformation, de contenus fabriqués, de débats polarisés, ils offrent un ancrage dans le réel. Ils rassemblent, témoignent et ouvrent un dialogue avec le public, et c’est sans doute l’une des dimensions les plus importantes du cinéma. » 🔦 Mstyslav Chernov est un réalisateur, correspondant de guerre et romancier ukrainien. Il a couvert des conflits marquants : révolution ukrainienne de 2014, guerre du Donbass, crash du MH17, guerre en Syrie, bataille de Mossoul, invasion russe de 2022. Son travail sur le siège de Marioupol lui a valu un prix Pulitzer. Son documentaire "20 Days in Mariupol" a remporté l’Oscar et le BAFTA du meilleur documentaire en 2024. Président de l’UAPP et membre du PEN ukrainien, il a été blessé à plusieurs reprises en reportage. Son dernier film, "At 2,000 Meters to Andriivka", plonge au cœur du front ukrainien et de la guerre moderne. ***** 💬 "Documentaries are incredibly important in this moment of history. A leading figure in frontline journalism, he has covered major conflicts including the 2014 Ukrainian revolution, the Donbas war, MH17 crash, Syrian civil war, Battle of Mosul, and Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine. His coverage of the Mariupol siege earned international recognition, including the Pulitzer Prize. His documentary "20 Days in Mariupol" won the 2024 Oscar and BAFTA for Best Documentary.
