Two narrow categories were: 1. FDA-approved marijuana drugs 2. State-licensed MEDICAL marijuana
That’s it.
Adult-use? Still Schedule I. Legacy market? Still Schedule I. Prohibition states? Still Schedule I.
The communities that built this industry are still classified with heroin while the pharma companies get a tax break.

The broader reschedule is on the calendar — DEA hearing June 29, 2026. Until then, today’s order is the full picture.
