Illinois lawmakers haven’t advanced meaningful cannabis legislation in 4+ years, but 2026 is a chance to change that. Join CEIC for our first policy meeting of 2026 Monday @ 5:30 PM CST as we break down our legislative agenda and how we’re organizing to win. RSVP: bit.ly/ceicpolicy

Repost: @endppil Calling all seasoned advocates❗️We need YOU in Springfield on the 6th, 20th and 27th of May! Together we’ll advocate to get Home For Good(HB 624) and Permanent Punishment Review Task Force(HB 5091) through the Senate! We’re looking for advocates across Illinois to sign up for one or more days in May to speak with legislators in Springfield. Don’t see a day that works for you? Let us know! We may be able to work something out. 🚨 If you can’t make it this month, you can still help us from home: WRITE YOUR LEGISLATORS at the link in our bio❗️ #ENDPP #HomeForGoodIL #EndPermanentPunishments #SpringfieldIL #AdvocacyDay

Yes, you read that right. Illinois is the ONLY state where cannabis arrests have increased post-legalization. Remember, even though marijuana is legal to purchase from a dispensary if you’re 21, there are plenty of ways to be criminalized. It is crucial that you know your rights. Have questions about the laws and how to protect yourself? DM or email us!

Cannab*s has been all over the news lately, with Lawmakers discussing changes at the local, state, and federal levels. Many of the policy proposals are incredibly harmful. Join our next meeting on Monday at 5:30 PM to discuss how we fight back. Sign up for the policy working group here: bit.ly/ceicpolicy

Repost: @blackcannabismagazine @hazeytoughtme @theweedheadco Don’t let the headlines fool you. Cannabis was NOT rescheduled today. Two narrow categories were: 1. FDA-approved marijuana drugs 2. State-licensed MEDICAL marijuana That’s it. Adult-use? Still Schedule I. Legacy market? Still Schedule I. Prohibition states? Still Schedule I. The communities that built this industry are still classified with heroin while the pharma companies get a tax break. Read that again. The broader reschedule is on the calendar — DEA hearing June 29, 2026. Until then, today’s order is the full picture. Mainstream media went for clicks. We went for the truth. — Source: DOJ Press Release, 04/23/26 #Cannabis #ScheduleIII #CannabisPolicy #LegacyMarket #BlackCannabis
