This year's upcoming County budget season is poised to be one of the hardest we have ever seen due to federal budget cuts that seek to undermine our social safety net programs. There are going to be difficult decisions and long meetings as we are forced to weigh programs during an unnecessary budget crisis we did not create. Throughout all of this, I have promised to be as transparent as possible because you deserve to know what's happening in your local government, and how it may impact your family.
That's why I'm hosting a community town hall May 27, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the new @sccld@campbelllibrary , to break down the budget in a way that's easy to understand. This FREE event will feature tasty bites and local speakers, alongside my updates. Be sure to register at the link in my bio!

It's our last day at Campbell Express! A big thank you to everyone who continued to support us throughout our tenure here! Thank you to @campbellrecreation for their neighborly support while hosting us! We'll always cherish our time here, but we're excited to welcome in the next chapter of our library.

It's our last week of service at Campbell Express! This Saturday, April 4th will be your last day to check out materials and pick up holds at the Express Library. All due dates have been postponed to our grand opening on May 9th, and all materials can still be returned at our other county library locations.

Our next highlight for the month is Uyen's pick, children's author/illustrator and Caldecott honoree LeUyen Pham. Known for her frequent collaborations with author Shannon Hale, LeUyen Pham has illustrated such works as The Princess in Black, Itty-Bitty Kittycorn, and the Best Friends graphic novel series. Uyen is a fan of her fun and colorful illustrations, as well as the diversity of styles she employs between all her works. Seeing LeUyen Pham's committment to diverse representation in her art has also been particularly inspiring. Check out these books and more at your local Santa Clara County Library!
