This was us roaming around for about an hour trying to find camp in Alabama Hills, this place is incredibly beautiful but boy oh boy are we not the only people who feel this way cause man was it packed.
For my very selfish reasons i absolutely hate how crowded some of these places get but itās understandable, people are always in constant search for beauty on this earth including myself.
Iāll never be the one to throw shade at places that are extremely popular ofcourse its upsetting especially when it affects your ability to find a spot but everyone has the right to feel what we feel when we get outdoors.
Iād rather see people unwinding in the mountains then stuck behind an electrical box, and it makes me happy seeing people doing what I love to do as well.
Note to self if you want a spot at a very popular location plan on getting there sooner lol š
Itching to get back out there āŗļø
Seems like all Iāve been doing lately is opening my @tuffstuffoverland RTT on my drive way, cracking open a beer and just looking at it š« š

From Death Valley to Alabama Hills itās become a tradition for us. Anytime weāre near the valley, we make it a mission to chase those granite giants. This trip felt even more special since one of the guys in our crew had never experienced it before.
We went from a comfortable nightās sleep to a brutally cold morning temps dropping below 25°. Frost on the ground, breath hanging in the air⦠definitely a rude awakening. But man, moments like that remind you youāre alive.
Thereās something magical about Alabama Hills the massive boulders guarding the desert floor while Mt. Whitney rises behind them, just peeking through the clouds like a hidden titan. Itās a place that stops you in your tracks every single time.
If youāve never camped here, add it to the list. Worth every mile of the drive⦠and every shiver of the night.
Thereās something about heading north that just resets everything.
We loaded up, rolled out, and chased that feeling, the one that only comes when the road turns into dirt and the plan turns into pure adventure. This trip wasnāt just about the destination⦠it was about the people. A solid crew, all of us obsessed with the journey just as much as where it takes us.
Every mile out there is earned. The late nights in the garage, the busted knuckles, the constant upgrades it all pays off when your rig is crawling through terrain that most people wouldnāt even attempt. Pushing limits, trusting your build, and trusting the people riding with you.
And then⦠you arrive.
Nothing really prepares you for camping on the edge of the Grand Canyon. The views donāt feel real. The silence hits different. Itās the kind of place that reminds you how small you are, in the best way possible.
But that night? The wind had other plans.
It came in hard. Iām talking full-on rig-shaking, tent-rattling, āthis might actually tip overā kind of wind. Laying there, half laughing, half questioning life choices⦠but honestly, thatās part of it too. The unpredictable moments. The stories you take home.
Because at the end of it all, itās not just about where you goā¦ā¦ itās about what you experience getting there, and who you share it with.
Already looking forward to the next one.
