Behind the scenes look at what it takes to bring our “Festival Fingerboard Neverland” to life 👀 Our first festival pop up of the year took place at the legendary @umbrellaweekend in the Mojave 🏜️ and we think it’s safe to say it was a whole ass movie 😭😂 Biggest of ups to Camp Counselor @spencaahh for helping to build our theme camp in record time 🫡 Just a couple dudes and their tonkas 🛻 some power tools 🛠️ and a dream 💭 24 hours after arrival we had the steeziest spot on the festival grounds ! CAN YOU DIG IT ?! 🤩 The official Dappington mini doc is officially en route 🏕️🎥 The first Camp D feature film is all set to premiere on a YouTube screen near you Thursday, February 12 🛹 This film documents the adventures, challenges and most entertaining aspected of purveying the one and only festival fingerboard camp 🫣 The mini doc is our first foray into long form content but seeing how our mission was adopted by so many real ones along the way, it was an obvious choice 🍿 Incredibly grateful to see how the project has been recieved and to see it growing and evolving these past few years as the Dappington crew continued to dream up possibilities 💭 We took our community based project to the next level with the Camp Dappington Field Trip last summer 📈 Taking our Festival Fingerboard Neverland all the way to Canada 🇨🇦 Doing 6 whole festivals, traveling 5,000+ miles travels, hitting over 17 skateparks along the way 🫨 He may have not known it at first, but Camp Counselor @steveyshreds earned his title as “Field Trip Manager” poppin out to put in that work at every festival and every step of the way 😂❤️ The flick showcases what it truly took to make it all happen without skimping on the harsh realities 🫡 40+ days camping, long days on the road and shredding obviously led to lots of fun moments but there instances when we feared for our life too no lie… With this film, we aim to highlight the stories of all the friends we made along the way 🫶 We really can’t wait for you to see it 👀 The mini doc will be dropping on @drewdapps YouTube channel, make sure you don’t miss the premiere be sure to hitting the subscribe button 😎 DROP A COMMENT IF YOU READY, DROP A COMMENT IF YOU PART OF THE CAMP D CREW 🤝

Things weren’t going as expected… 😓 we were running behind schedule and we barely got Camp Dappington operational before our first workshop. The British Columbian rain had put us behind as we scrambled to put the finishing touches and final display of sauce into our activation 👷‍♀️ Only this time around we weren’t just an activation but a whole ass ATTRACTION as Camp D had earned a prime headliner positioning right by the stages in the downtown section of @shambhala_mf 🫡 voted the #1 festival in Canada by fans and groovers alike. This is it… we made it to the big leagues 🥲 However, you boy was trippin a little about getting set up in time before our “Steez Building Workshop” 🛹🛠️ For the first time in Dappington history we had homies waiting outside the door eager to get in and shred 👀 I saw heads with their fingerboards posted up outside and the excitement building up between us was more tense than the final chase scene of Ratatouille 🙏 At 2:58pm - just a couple minutes before our official workshop I got on the megaphone and said “LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, CAMP DAPPINGTON IS OFFICIALLY STANDING ON BUSINESS” 🗣️ Our soon to be friends literally cheered out loud and I couldn’t help but shed a tear 🥲 HOW COULD A BROTHA BE ANYMORE BLESSED ?! I couldn’t stop thinking to myself… is this really my life ?! 😭😂 From then on, I think it’s safe to say that it was one of the happiest weeks of my life 🫶 I never pulled up to Canada before (on purpose) but to think that our silly little fingerboard sk8 camp earned myself and the crew the chance to experience this magical place got me geekin 🤧 Can’t help but be proud of how far we’ve taken the one and only festival fingerboard camp… and I’m tellin ya gang we only just now getting started 😮‍💨 I got so much love for everyone who stopped by to contribute their steez and helped to make this competition one of the most poppin festival festivities we’ve ever hosted 😌 I was blown away by the amount of steez and passion that Shmabalans came through with, but most of all I’m inspired to keep taking this project to new heights 🤝 I got nothing but love for our buds 🤍 Let’s do it again soon ?! 👀
