A dream come true! I’m beyond thrilled and honored to illustrate a cover for The New Yorker’s 100th anniversary—one of the most special moments in my career. Seeing my work on the cover of such an iconic magazine is something I’ve dreamed of for so long, and I still can’t believe it’s real! This special edition reimagines The New Yorker’s very first cover from 1925, featuring Eustace Tilley, the magazine’s iconic mascot. Besides me, this edition has reinterpretations by Kerry James Marshall, Diana Ejaita @dianaejaita , Anita Kunz @anitakunz and Javier Mariscal @mariscaloficial . Grateful to F. Mouly, G. Bormes and D. Remnick for this opportunity. What a moment! ✨🥹🖤 〰️ Um sonho realizado! Ainda não acredito que isso é real! To muito feliz e honrada por ilustrar a minha primeira capa para a revista The New Yorker e ainda para a edição de 100 anos — com certeza um dos momentos mais especiais da minha carreira. Sempre foi um sonho, mas ver agora em mãos essa capa é emocionante demais e ainda meio surreal! Minha inspiração para essa capa foram nós, mulheres latinas e a conexão profunda que a gente tem com a natureza. My first inflatable sculpture is alive! 🥹💖 Last weekend, she officially came to life at @nomadefestivalsp in São Paulo. Seeing one of my characters become this huge inflatable piece was surreal! I’ve always imagined my work occupying public spaces in different ways, and this honestly felt like a dream come true! Big thanks to @luancardoso for creating this project with me and for trusting my work! It was so special to build this together. Still processing the feeling of seeing people interacting with her all weekend ✨😮‍💨 📸 @nomadefestivalsp / @timedefoto 〰️ Minha primeira escultura inflável nasceu! 🥹💖 No último final de semana ela finalmente ganhou vida no @nomadefestivalsp , em São Paulo. Foi muito surreal ver uma das minhas personagens virar essa peça inflável gigante! Sempre imaginei meu trabalho ocupando espaços públicos de diferentes formas, e sinceramente isso aqui foi um sonho realizado. Obrigada ao @luancardoso por criar esse projeto comigo e por confiar no meu trabalho! Foi muito especial construir isso juntos.
