Huge thanks to everyone who came out to kickstart the 2026 Fiver Series with us at the Canmore Nordic Centre 🌲 From fast laps to first-time racers, the energy was high and the community spirit was even better.
Riders tackled Soft Yogourt, Devonian Drop and Canmore Trail in true Fiver fashion - all fun, friendly competition, and good times on bikes 🙌

Big News For Our Trail Community!
CAMBA is excited to share that we’ve reached a major milestone in the long-term future of the Exshaw trail network.
This has been years in the making. A tremendous amount of work has happened behind the scenes to help ensure this much-loved network can be protected and stewarded for the long term. The work completed through the Canmore Area Trails Master Plan, along with ongoing collaboration and trust built with Alberta Public Lands over many years, helped create the path forward.
We want to recognize and thank Blue, Shaun, and the dedicated volunteers who have shaped these trails over nearly two decades. What exists today is the result of thousands of hours of passion, creativity, and hard work. That legacy matters deeply, and it’s something we respect tremendously.
We’re excited that many of those same builders and stewards will continue to be involved as part of the CAMBA trail crew. Their knowledge, history and connection to the network are invaluable, and their continued involvement will help ensure the trails keep the character and riding experience that people have come to love.
We also want to acknowledge that this transition is meaningful. This network has long existed without formal recognition, and there was a real risk it could have been lost. By stepping into a trail management role, we will be able to secure its future.
Our commitment is simple: protect what makes this place special, support the people who built it, respect the community that surrounds it, and steward the trails responsibly for years to come.
More updates to come — but for now, this feels like a moment worth celebrating.

Important update for registered riders: we’ve got a location change. The race will now take place at the Canmore Nordic Centre, starting at Soft Yogurt and featuring Devonian Drop + Canmore Trail 🌲
CAMBA’s Fiver Series is all about fun, community, and a little friendly competition - one stage, enduro-style, and no pressure. Just come out and ride.
There’s still time to sign up! Entry is just $10, but riders must be a CAMBA Trail Member to participate (required for event insurance coverage). Plus, memberships support local trails and include great perks around town 🙌

Trail Conditions Alert ⚠️
Many areas around Canmore are still holding an above-average snowpack this spring. As higher elevation trails begin to melt out and become rideable, users should use extra caution when crossing avalanche terrain or slide paths - especially in the afternoons or during warmer temperatures. 🏔️
This includes trails such as Highline, High Rockies, and other alpine-access routes that may now be opening up. Conditions can change quickly this time of year.
Plan ahead, ride smart, and always be aware of overhead hazard exposure. 🌲🚲

— Expect mostly blue trails, with the occasional green or black mixed in.

Today kicks off National Volunteer Week (April 19 - 25) 🤝
At CAMBA, volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. From building and maintaining trails to supporting events and growing the riding community, their time and passion keep it all moving. If you’ve ever ridden a trail or joined a ride, you’ve experienced their impact firsthand. CAMBA simply wouldn’t exist without them.
With that, we’re excited to introduce our Volunteer Spotlight segments - a chance to celebrate the people behind it all. This week, we’re shining a light on Tom Ebbern, a dedicated member of the community who’s been giving back for the past two years. From Trail Days to fundraising, Tom plays a key role both on and off the trails. Read on to learn more about him.

Plus vendors, a Q&A, and community connection - all in support of building more accessible trails in the Bow Valley. Park to Pints 2026 :: Registration is Open! 🏃♀️🍻
@stridescanmore , @salomon , and @cambaconnect are back for the third annual Park to Pints - a community celebration of running, trails, and good times in the Bow Valley on Saturday, October 3rd. Whether you’re chasing a tune-up race or just looking for a fun 5K or 10K with friends, this event is all about getting out, getting moving, and celebrating the 2026 running season together.
What to expect: • 5K + 10K races (NEW modified, more spectator-friendly course) • Start time: 5:00pm | Bib pickup from 3:00pm • Live music from The Ducks • Post-race curry from Authentic Indian • Beer garden to celebrate
