World Suicide Prevention Day 🎗️ I made Dying is Hard to Do because it was personal. For years, I have lived with depression and active suicide ideation. I was struggling deeply, but not many people knew. This poster is an alternative design by @kaizenkreativ_ simple, raw, and honest. It reminds me of the beauty that has emerged since I began allowing space for the hard parts, while honoring all the waves that come with healing. The opposite of depression is not joy. It is presence. It is being here. My life now feels like a dream come true, and I get to live in it each day (especially on the hard days). I take life in little doses, with a broken heart still learning to mend. But as Leonard Cohen said, “the crack is where the light comes in,” right? Today is a battle for me, and I honor that. If you are struggling, please know you’re not alone. Please Create a safe space for someone today. Check in with a friend.
