Thank you for joining us in a quarter full of birds, friendship, and collaboration! Cal Poly Birding Club is bringing together a wonderful, growing community of student birders who are keen on learning about, observing, and protecting birds, wildlife, and the habitats they thrive within. From building nest boxes with Morro Coast Audubon Society, to pizza & game nights, to learning about the various grebe species we can find in SLO county, we’re proud and lucky to have such a fun and curious group :) new, casual, and experienced birders alike are always welcome, and we can’t wait to have another birdy quarter!
Here’s the official lineup of musical artists and booths for the .wavzine and @sjp.calpoly Mutual Aid Fest happening this Saturday, 2/28. We are super excited to be featuring booths in collaboration with @hennabysameehaa , @calpolydragclub , @calpolybirding , @the805undocufund and @colectivo.mariposa805 .
See you there!

This weekend, Cal Poly Birding Club took on the 29th annual Morro Bay Birding Festival! To kick off what’s gearing up to be a great quarter, we visited the MBBF marketplace to chat with vendors and conservation organizations, spotted the famous peregrine falcons at Morro Rock, birded the area surrounding the rock, and got lunch together afterwards. We are so grateful for the hospitality of all of the wonderful people involved in organizing the festival and keeping it running smoothly. Thank you to all the new and returning birders that showed up, and keep an eye out for more events to come!
