Last Friday one of my heroes left this Earth.
My Grandma, radiated positivity, curiosity, and resilience. Her adventures made relationships with people and places that have defined my life. It has been such a privilege for her to live such a long and accomplished life.
Although I can no longer join her for a swim, text about our tabby cats, or edit my latest project together, I know that she is with me. I can feel her in my heart, I can feel her in my bones, I know in the water she is with me.

For the past year I have joined Jonathan Olivares @skeightball , a friend and mentor, in researching and photographing skateboards for an exhibition at the Design Museum. It has been a pleasure working and learning from Todd Huber, Nick Halkias, Buddy Coan Nichols, and many others as we looked at the cultural influences and technical progression of deck, truck, and wheel design from the 1950s until now.
Skateboarding has become much more than a sport and innovators big and small have given purpose, passion, and connection to many. If you are in London please check out the exhibition and look out for a book published by Phaidon coming this winter!
