In a time where traditional gallery spaces fall back to the earth, we have sown new methods to share and grow together. We invite you to gather in the Slow Forest to explore art, imagination and liberation. Announcing “Heirlooms”, an artist-led, land-based exhibition transforming the forest into a site of memory, resistance, and imagination.
Taking place on September 7, 2025, this inaugural gathering reclaims nature as both sanctuary and stage—bringing together artists, activists, and audiences for a full day of participatory artworks, performances, workshops, and rituals rooted in ecological restoration and cultural healing.
Co-curated by New York-based gallery Ward co-founders, Gabrielle Richardson and Saam Niami - the exhibition highlights practices that bridge climate, liberation, and more-than-human connection.
For this first show, Richardson and Niami in collaboration with Slow Factory chose to gather artists concerned primarily with movement, community-histories, and environmental preservation and documentation. These artists include sculptor Carlos Agredano
