Everything is perfect.
A couple lifetimes ago, I lived for a brief period in Spain. And during that time, I walked the Camino de Santiago. During a short stay in Galicia, I found myself working for a couple days with a stonemason, whose name escapes me at the moment. There was no money for the project, so he was taking his sweet time. We would lay one stone, and he would say… Es perfecto. And then we would smoke a cigarette. Every. Single. Stone.
He's probably still working on that wall. But damn that's one good memory.

Hey Utah! Get me two!!! Now let's finish up these giant EDC Mats.
First we need to cut it down to size. Guide Rail's pretty much made for this. Because what else would you use it for anyway?
Then we got some gluing to do. Yes, I need a better method to apply this, but the hard way is what I got for now!
Stitching was really the trickiest part. Even with the guide, one false move and the whole thing gets out of line. And since these two mats already took four hides of leather, I'd prefer not to start from scratch!

I’m not a guy to be impressed by frills and bells and whistles and all that, I like things that just work. Sometimes you come across something that combines a sumptuous aesthetic, rugged durability, perfect functionality, and… well, a touch and fit that just is right. You know immediately it’s going to serve you well for a lifetime.
This @tomsilvatoh turner’s edition work apron by @calaveratool ticks every box for me. Michael thoughtfully designs a brilliant product and then goes above and beyond to make sure each individual item is just perfect for the person it is intended for. He even followed up my order to double check my height and weight to make sure I’d selected the right range. It fit like a second skin the first time I wore it and has only gotten better by daily use.
There's got to be an easier way.
But at least this way is pretty satisfying. Using some water-based glue here on a pair of gigantic mats. Each one is 2' x 4' with a stitch around the perimeter. Hard to screw up gluing unless you miss a spot!

A very nice gentleman asked me to save all these punch outs so he could use them as bumpers (or washers?) somehow. And I said sure, no problem. Little did I know what a pain it is to collect all of them!

And while I can't tell you exactly why I'm cutting down this bristle brush (besides some great ASMR), I can say that it is a perfectly unsophisticated solution to a sophisticated problem.
Would have been a little cleaner still had @angeladavison89 not been vacuuming upstairs at this particular moment! Ha!
