Terry and his to do list.
Terry restores parts for boats and operates within a sealed tent polluted with a potent smell of solvents.
His overalls conceal 95% of his skin, and so the fact that the 5% on show unmasked a minimum of 3 tattoos peaked my interest - whilst I initially photographed him. I got to talking with Terry about his lifelong dedication to tattoos, how he started young and has no plans to stop.
He was kind enough to show me a fair share of them and allowed me to photograph them, which has resulted in these wicked images.
Thanks Terry.
Some work!
Back in November last year I had the pleasure of photographing Aaron out at sea in Plymouth as part of the @govuk campaign ‘We make it here’. An initiative centred around the defence industry, in particular the local opportunity increased defence spending can provide to often overlooked pockets of the UK, supporting communities that have traditionally relied upon it.
Thank you to @something_inc and @_malaikas for the opportunity to be involved in this project!
‘Knife Angel’, Plymouth.
A 27-foot sculpture constructed of seized & surrendered blades, an initiative that serves as a reminder of the devastation violence casts upon individuals, families and communities.
It wasn’t until recent years that it was made clear to me what a birthday suit is, before this I was under the impression it was your best fit - your showstopper. I occasionally still misquote it and when I saw this guy I approached him and said words to the effect of “Somebody’s stepped out in their birthday suit, do you mind if I photograph it”.
