š Cake Equity is the best cap table and equity management software to help startup founders accelerate team motivation through equity ownership. š°
2025 was Cake's biggest year yet. But if there's one thing we know for sure, 2026 will be even bigger. We've caught our breath, we've touched grass, and now we're back on our mission of motivating startup teams.
With some yoga and surfing in between of course.
The Cake team always strives to be ahead of the trends. We ship everything asap, including the Christmas party. What a great day of waves, potatoes, party poppers, presents and, naturally, celebrating another big year at Cake š°
First question's first: Primrose the goat was 48 hours old and totally stole the show at @invest.rural.au 2025.
Last week, Teala Stephens got to join founders, investors, ecosystem builders at an event that is as important as it was effective.
There was a super panel made up of Venture capital, crowdfunding, social impact debt, private credit, angel syndicates, and banking that really delivered some great insights. Huge thanks to Jo Palmer, Claire Bull, and @DaveLT who curated the epic program and facilitated valuable discussions and to the rural and regional founders and business leaders who didn't shy away from asking difficult questions or workshopping their elevator pitch on the fly.
Here's to more events that bridge the gap between metro capital and regional ambition, and shout out to the sponsors and supporters:

The biggest event of #Investfest was a sumptuous Mayor's lunch at @mondriangoldcoast , with an introduction by the Mayor, an inspiring keynote by @craigscroggie and inspiring panels by local founders and investors that had us leaving positively tech positive.
All in all, a fantastically organised event by Cohort Innovation Space, an inspiring and enterprising crowd, and a group that we think we be perfectly placed for the tech revolution we're currently riding the crest of.
Entirely the best way to start day 2 of #Investfest was with the dogs out getting bendy and salty on Burleigh beach. We were joined by a fantastic crowd of investors and founders for a revitalising sesh.
The first day of #Investfest was topped off with a Gold Coast signature sunset pool party put on by @cohort_innovation_space , set at the picturesque @laluna.beachclub . Fantastic catching up and seeing the growth from some of the GC's most exciting founders and startups.
Tech Week Day 2 Starts NOW!
But first... another cut from the Surf Event on Day 1.
Special thanks to the hosts: @ten.one.ten , @stifelfinancial , @cakeequity , & Progression

Nearly the weekend and we're flashing back to our LA @techweeka16z opening event with Progression, @ten.one.ten Ventures, @stifelfinancial Bank and @dlapiper Piper, not to mention some amazing sustainable boards by @swellcycle.surfboards
Surf events are our favourites because we get to combine two of our favourite things: People doing great things in startups, and getting out in nature.

Health is really important to Cake. Yes, in spite of the name.
That's why we were proud to see such a great turnout of women in health at our mixer event last night in Venice. It's a fact that female founders face hardships that male founders don't, but it's also a fact that support and community can help overcome them.
We got to hear the stories of a great array of female founders including Charlyn Bender, Esq., Zoƫ Thomas Abel, Jillian L Joyce, Sophie Reynolds, Maura Smith, Rachel Horning, Rachael Kim, Kiki Freedman. Thanks so much for sharing.
Again thanks to our partners Amboy Street Ventures, Pilot and Goodwin.
There's still one more day to go at LA Tech Week, so the team will see you out there!

Embrace change, but keep the humanity.
We had a fantastic turnout at our Creators in an AI World event at EP & LP, hosted by Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Voice Capital and Cake Equity last night, and we're still thinking about it.
One theme that we loved was the idea of a levelling playing field, allowing smaller companies to catch up with big productions without the need for massive outlays.
Thanks once more Jason Fielding, Karen Pfeifer, William Ward, Steve Cronan for a wonderful panel.
Also a quick tag for Amber Morse, Bhaskar Deo, Jamaila Holder, Sam Freeman, Mohammad Talah Anwar, Isabella Dominguez, Shaun Westbrook who we got to chat with over the night.
We've got more events to come at LA Tech week, so we'll see you out there!
