The nerves before doing off bus never really went away lol… hearing the music months later, I still take my choreographed exhale on the four counts leading up to the first kick 😂

100 YEARS OF THE ROCKETTES ✨ @therockettes
We opened the show a week ago today! I’m still recovering and processing the evening, but we performed for 500 past and present Rockettes who gathered to celebrate the centennial. I will never forget the energy of the audience and I know that night will stand in my memories as one of my favourite stage experiences ever. It really put into perspective the weight and power of this legacy of women, and the fact that I get to be a small part of it is something I do not and will never take lightly.
What makes this job so special is that for it to succeed, every single person in the line has to put in the work, strive for consistent accuracy and push past the challenge that is the show, together. We quite literally could not do it without each other and inherently, the bond this forms is so unique and why we call it a sisterhood.
This job came at a really difficult time in my life and truly transformed everything. I didn’t realise how much I wanted it until the first day of the audition - I saw myself dancing the first combo, realised I COULD do this and could see myself falling more and more in love with the style (even though I had no idea how to eye high kick 😂). At that time I’d barely get myself out of bed everyday, but somehow pushed myself to go to the audition. Thank goodness I did - this job helped me fall back in love with dance and I’ve evolved so much as a dancer and person because of it. To say I’m honoured will never be enough, but I’m so so grateful I get to live this life and say I’m a Rockette.

Always so grateful to be a part of this legacy of incredible women, but especially in the 100th year of @therockettes ❤️ Let’s do this SEASON 4!!!
