π"Hey There, Mister Gentleman..."π
When the wind is an unwelcome and unpaid actor, your tail can hit you in the face (scroll on). For some of these shots Mike was in the most crazy curled up position on the floor π―π - I'm very grateful mate but I do love how rh wind helped show off lots of elements of her skirt!
When I first started the plan to build Jester, her massive lollipop prop was of course a massive pull, I love a big prop build project especially one that challenges me to think outside the box
Keeping it cheap, scroll through to see the steps but pool noodles for a base and they actually aren't glued together.
πͺI used some bamboo sticks through the foam to keep it together (pool noodles are pretty unruly!)
πͺThe paint job was a nightmare ( and will be improved for the future, when there is more time!), but my paint had separated? Which oddly became more pigmented, but made it bloody hard to work with π.
πͺAs I knew this was temporary, I covered the whole thing in masking tape and painted on top of that - worked a treat.
πͺThe pole (which also needs upgrading, after bending a bit in this windy shoot ) is the broken remnants of Triton's trident that broke underwater at
@tankspaceofficial last year π€£.
I allways reuse and recycle where possible. β»οΈ Other bits include, some donated fabric I made the lollipop bows from, the organza was new but I needed a cover to add more sparkle and the other bits include the lids off of protein powders and toothpaste caps!
Oh and shout out to
@moxyhotels for having gray unexpected prop storage π and I'm so happy my plan to build the prop in hits, means it fits in my suitcase!
Use everything! What props and techniques are your most wild? Let's share π.
