Knocked out the programming and machining of these Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO hood mounts for @tjhunt_ a few weekends ago. These were designed by @workmanracingdev and @chancemotorsports and I machined them at his shop on the VF2.

These will be panel bonded to the crazy composite GT3 race body’s hood to retain the factory hinge and latch system. The wild looking bottoms were cut with a mesh to perfectly fit up to the composite irregularities. The diamond pattern surfacing was to increase surface area along with leaving the adhesive some room to maintain proper thickness between the layers.

What a project!!!
Looking back it’s been almost 2 years since @mattfield777 came to me with this wild idea of building the first C8 mid engine drift vette. In my line of work it’s rare to find people that operate at the same level but more importantly trust me and my skillset with their name and brand to bring their ideas to reality. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to work closely and develop an awesome relationship with Matt from bouncing ideas and refining designs to the point where we got more and more excited about the build the deeper we dove.
None of this would be possible without the tremendous support and resources from @partsshopmax . The amount of time the shop devoted to this far exceeded what most sponsors would ever contribute.
In the end, this car wouldn’t have gotten to the level it did without the help from many great vendors, especially those who entrusted us with their CAD and IP. It played such a huge part in the build since so much of it was designed digitally in CAD. Shout out to these companies for never skipping a beat when it came to our CAD requests:

Over 30 pairs of #nissan #z33 front forged knuckles getting machined into #z34 . Both styles are produced out of the same forging blank and after nearly a decade of sales, we ran out of the Z34’s. We figured we’d convert a portion of the Z33 inventory to stock the shelves and help prolong the reorder of another decades worth of forgings 😳
