Inspiration doesn’t just arrive to the host unless she’s truly seeking it. It all started when Meher (@mehersradesigns ) visited our Gurgaon flagship—one look at our hero table displays and she immediately knew what she wanted to do with it.
Placing five tables of different heights and materials, she tied the setting together with floral displays, innovative servings, warm candlelight and food by the wonderful @caarafood .

Over tea, they spoke freely about beginnings, risks, doubts, and everything it takes to build something of your own. From luxury fashion, full-leaf teas, handcrafted in small batches, pantry essentials, homeware, food experiences, art, interior design- they’ve shaped more than one space, across many industries.
Over a perfectly brewed @threecliveroad blend, with delicate CAARA canapés served on @rezonsilverware , it all felt easy- like a conversation that simply found its rhythm.
Some collaborations require effort. Others feel instinctive. This was the latter.

Ogaan launched its fine jewellery collection on March 11th, and CAARA had the privilege to work together with @ogaanjewellery & @inordinary.practice to create a food experience that drew inspiration from the processes of the jeweller’s workshop- translating actions associated with the making of jewellery into contemporary Indian food.
Tools such as mandrels, tweezers, doming blocks, polishing nubs, and shovels were reimagined as instruments for serving and putting together food and inviting guests to engage with the meal as one might approach the craft of making these jewellery pieces.
Thyme and cacio e pepe kachori’s were inspired by the doming block used to create curvature and dimension in jewellery, while caramelised figs with khejur gur and smoked paprika goat cheese parfait represented the careful visual inspection of precious gems.
While the centre grazing table peaked curiosity, the signature cocktails were designed to be fun, with an element of surprise, and for the guests to experience the discovery of the raw materials used in the craft of jewellery making. The chili & curry leaf spritzer, once sipped, stained your lips with a decadent touch of silver vark, representing beaten metal sheets, while the java plum fizz revealed gemstones at the bottom of the glass as you sipped and discovered them.

If you are stopping by for breakfast, the classic scrambled eggs are a must. They arrive on a house-baked multi-seeded Flemish bread with our signature basil pesto-marinated cherry tomatoes. It feels light, fluffy, and fresh. For a quick working lunch, the chèvre chaud salad - golden goat cheese croquettes, julienned apple, toasted walnuts- feels both European and utterly Kolkata but was inspired by our co-founders’ time spent in Switzerland!
There is off course a nod to the city’s love for seafood with tempura fish and chips and a caper tartar sauce, while those who love pasta, our handmade fettuccini is enveloped in a slow-simmered lamb bolognaise ragu that evokes an Italian nonna’s kitchen. For those of you who like something sweet- a hot, gooey chocolate cookie with vanilla bean ice cream is beyond decadent and must be tried!

We call this chef’s special because they truly are little flaky pillows of pure deliciousness.
We took the classic ravioli and gave it a total makeover- filled with a creamy cacio e pepe mixture and then cooked to perfection so they puff up like a cloud!
The magic happens when these little pillows get crispy on the outside but stay soft and cheesy inside. We serve them on a bed of romesco sauce, which adds a rich, nutty flavour to the entire dish.
