To the dancers of C Unit Dance Studio,
What a season!
This semester was filled with growth, discipline, artistry, long rehearsals, corrections, breakthroughs, and so much hard work behind the scenes. Watching these dancers continue to refine not only their technique, but their strength, awareness, coordination, and confidence has been incredibly rewarding.
We feel so lucky at LG Movement to partner with a studio that values training, education, and longevity for young dancers. It has been amazing to work alongside the AP dancers this season through Pilates and conditioning, helping support the demands of their training both technically and physically.
To every dancer who showed up consistently, pushed through challenges, stayed curious, and committed to getting stronger: congratulations on an incredible semester. Your work does not go unnoticed.
We are so excited to continue our partnership with C Unit Dance Studio and look forward to continuing AP Pilates classes in the fall.
Here’s to continued growth, stronger bodies, smarter training, and an even stronger next season.
LG Movement ♡

C-Unit takes on NYC!
Four of our Company dancers were selected for an incredible weekend immersed in the concert dance world, experiencing firsthand what this industry demands at a professional level.
We began Saturday with a private experience with Gallim. Senior company member Donterreo led a two hour session focused on improvisation and excerpts from the company’s upcoming work Blush. This was not just about learning choreography. It was about stepping into a professional creative process, making real-time decisions, and understanding the level of presence and adaptability required in today’s concert dance space.
Sunday, the dancers continued at Gibney Dance with a three hour Gaga and Metodika workshop. Gaga expands a dancer’s physical and sensory awareness, pushing them beyond shape and into sensation, individuality, and risk. It is one of the most influential contemporary movement languages in the world, and a critical tool for dancers navigating the professional landscape.
These are opportunities many dancers do not experience until they are already working professionally, if at all. Early exposure to this level of work changes how dancers think, move, and approach their training.
At C-Unit, we are committed to bridging the gap between training and the real world. That means creating access, building connections, and giving our dancers a clear understanding of what it truly takes to step into this field.
Thank you @gallimdanceco@donteeezzy@gaga.people.dancers@gibneydance we couldn’t have asked for a better weekend for our dancers!

C Unit Pro is a selective pre professional daytime training collective for dancers ages 13 to 18 who are intentionally pursuing advanced study.
Auditions will be held March 7 and 8 for current C Unit dancers.
Following audition weekend, C Unit Pro will begin accepting submissions and holding rolling auditions for dancers across the DMV.
The program runs September through April, meeting Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
Training centers contemporary technique, Gaga and Forsythe improvisation systems, choreographic development, and professional rehearsal structure. Dancers also receive mentorship and industry insight throughout the season, with optional Pilates training through LG Movement to support long term physical sustainability.
Enrollment is limited to ten dancers.
