Our first single, All This Is Ours Now, comes out next Thursday 2/26. I'm so happy to share the artwork accompanying this release, made by @niconixie ! When Nico showed me this piece for the first time, I gasped out loud. I was struck by the mystery, the depth and the strange hopefulness of it. It makes me so happy to pair this image with All This Is Ours Now, a song about finding your inner child within the wreckage of a burning world. Here's what Nico had to say:

It was a kind of kismet that I connected with Casey’s music under the moniker Swanderer shortly after I had unpacked my new studio and brought out of storage a very old mixed media painting. Later I sent him a picture of the painting because it was just too coincidental!
The piece never has had a title, but I am going to call it “Kismet in Reflection” since I remember that when I originally made it, I was in a very transitional phase. I was struggling to find routine in my life with my new role as a mom, while not letting my creative practice slip through the cracks. In reflecting on this piece, now over 20 years later, I can see the beginnings of some through-lines and visual elements that have since grown to become consistent and powerful themes in my current work.
It just goes to show, that as an artist, you never know what’s gonna resonate with an audience… I am so glad an opportunity arose to bring this image out to the world through the music of Swanderer.
