Weeks posts
@rowankeech made this beautiful video reflecting on our week spent in the Saharawi refugee camps for the Sahara Marathon. Here are a few words from Rowan: "I will forever be in awe of every second I got to experience and I forever stand by and support the Saharawi people in every way that I can. To be there next year and every year that follows" Look out for our newsletter coming next week about our time spent in the camps!

‘We are one’ is a film which celebrates the outdoor community through documenting the sports and backgrounds of a selected number of athletes. The outdoors is a vital part to sustaining a healthy lifestyle, I highlight the importance of this through the insightful narrative of the athletes involved in the outdoor community. The film is aimed at encouraging people to become involved in the outdoors and to be part of this welcoming and inspiring community. Special thanks to the athletes involved @hatsallen , @chuckzzij and @capturedbysabreen And thankyou to @mollymuzsla for all your help🫶🏼 Creative director/videography by me Videographer - @tomfoden Stylist - @whytelooks Sound design - @deep.w00ds Garments - @gramicci_eu , @kavueurope , @outsidersdesignstudio

Finally getting round to sharing our project ‘We are one’ a film which represents three athletes from the outdoor community. Aiming to encourage people to become involved in the outdoors, the insightful narrative of each athlete shares how vital it is in not only their lives but to sustain a healthy lifestyle. Meet Sabreen, a Climber based in the North West. She shares her experience getting into climbing through her older brother and how much the community outdoors and in climbing gyms welcomed her to get involved. She also shares how much it has taught her to move through challenges she faces and to not be hard on yourself when things get tough 🧗🏽‍♀️ In collaboration with @gramicci Photography/Videography by me Directed by me Climber @capturedbysabreen Styled by @whytelooks

The thing which changed my life and mindset completely was being diagnosed with a Chronic Illness. Nothing prepares you for how hard this is. Being told you have something incurable which is so painful and often devastating is extremely hard to overcome. A lot of people have told me I’m mad for this challenge I have set myself but for me it’s part of my mindset. Exercise, lifting, running, being active outside quite honestly has been life saving for me going through this period of my life. It taught me how to be strong, how to push through difficult situations and how to carry on even better on the other side. Life isn’t always easy and it’s constantly an up and down journey of success and failure, just surviving and prosperity. Having Endometriosis and living with chronic pain has completely transformed my perspective on life. I am so aware of what to be grateful for and to appreciate each and everything. I have so much to strive for that Endometriosis does not define me or what I am capable of. In striving to push my mindset and grow my perspective, and inspiration from the legend @hardestgeezer , in February 2025 I am running a marathon in the Sahara Desert. I will also be spending a week living in the camps to physically see the help which we can provide. This challenge will be no walk in the park, especially whilst living with Endometriosis. I want to provide a better life for children who are less fortunate than I am. I want to be able to give them the best opportunities that I can. To do this, with your help, I am raising money with the charity @sandblastcharity who provides educational programs and skills training, they aim to amplify the families voices and broaden their horizons which they deserve. Any help towards this would be really appreciated no matter how big or small🧡 Link for donations is in my bio 🫶🏼 Special thankyou to @rbell.photo for the most amazing videography and support. To @deep.w00ds for his insane sound design, you smash it every time🫡 and to @s_j_pearce for your support and help to push my challenge further a field 🙏🏼 Directed & edited by me

💛 Endometriosis is not just a pelvic health condition! It is a systemic disorder, it means it can be found elsewhere in the body and affect the body as a whole. There is not enough date and research on endometriosis. That’s why we need to speak about it and demand more research as it affects 1 woman in 10 in the UK.
