Finally got around to posting this guy. I made him 6 months ago and didn’t want to post him before I made the backview. I created this Orca guy during a character course with @mathias__osland and I’m really happy about how he turned out. ❄️✨ Arktis // Issittoq af Coco Apunnguaq Lynge ✨❄️ Det Grønlandske Hus i Aalborg glæder sig til at præsentere udstillingen Arktis // Issittoq af den grønlandske kunstner Coco Apunnguaq Lynge. Coco er en multidisciplinær kunstner, der arbejder på tværs af design, karakterdesign, mode, illustration og kunstudstillinger. Født i Grønland og opvokset i Danmark har hun altid båret en længsel efter sine grønlandske rødder – en længsel, der tydeligt afspejles i hendes personlige arbejde, hvor hun udforsker identitet og arv. Hun er uddannet fra The Animation Workshop og har desuden studeret multimediedesign og fashion design. Hendes illustrationer er trykt i bøger udgivet i Danmark, Grønland, Island, Frankrig, England og Canada, og hun har arbejdet både som karakterdesigner på AAA-spil og som illustrator til brætspil. 14th portrait; Ole Kristiansen. This was the 1st portrait I worked on that later snowballed my portrait series of Greenlandic musicians. It’s easy to tell that I was trying to figure out how to stylize and light the face, both in the sketch fase and in the render. I started making a symmetric sketch to catch his likeness and then I made some deliberate morphs to his face to make it match the scary subject of the song. . . . #olekristiansen #inuitartist #inuitart #portrait #musica

12th portrait: @najaparnuuna . I changed my mind a couple of times during the sketching fase, on how I wanted to portray her. With a limited amount of references available it can sometimes be difficult to see the shape of a person’s face. A little of a struggle on this portrait but I’m really happy with how it turned out in the end :) . . . #inuitart #inuitmusician #inuitartist #portrait

11th portrait: @angumotzfeldt . A singer who I was recommended to listen to by a friend. You can see the switch I made in background color. The more I listened to his music the more I felt the blue was compatible with his music. You will also see one of the references I used to sculpt the face for likeness.
